Pax
Have I mentioned this dog is perfect? And I'm madly in love?
He and I are codependent. If I'm on the property, he believes he MUST
have access to me. Doors and gates can't be closed. He'll whine, cry,
and even try to chew his way through to get to me. And yet, if I leave
completely, he has no issues. He misses me and waits for me, but he doesn't
display any real anxiety. To be fair, I'm as dependent as he is. I complain
if he doesn't sleep on my bed, and I whine about missing him when I haven't
yet driven out of the driveway.
His first year of life is documented in Raising
a Clicker Puppy.

This is one of my very favorite photos of Pax. His
first bath -- still with his breeder. He's just too cute wrapped in
this fluffy blue towel. |
 |
Another picture from his early life in the litter.
His breeder sets up a playroom with planks and bridges and toys and
swings. It's enough to wear a guy out! |
 |
This was early December, 2001, during his first month
at home with us. It's hard to believe he was ever that small. |
 |
Pax attended a doggy daycare once a week for the first
year of his life. This is a photo from his first day. That slide was
scary! |
 |
I just love this photo. It was taken on Pax's second
birthday. I just love those apples. |
 |
Pax in his natural environment: sacked out on my bed. |
 |
Pax in the buttercups. |
 |
Pax is a water dog. Nothing in life makes him happier
than playing in water. I took this and the next couple of shots one
day when I had the hose out. |
 |
More water fun. |
 |
And more. Wild water Pax! |
 |
Lounging on the porch. |
 |
This and the next photo are two more of my favorite
shots. He's truly a gorgeous boy. |
 |
Sweet boy. |
